Terms of Use of Marks These Terms of Use outline the comprehensive rules and conditions under which certified clients of TNV System Certification Pvt. Ltd. ("TNV") are permitted to use TNV’s official certification logos and accreditation marks. These include marks that reflect our status as an IAS-accredited certification body. Use of these marks by clients is not just a promotional tool—it is a declaration of the organization’s conformance with internationally recognized standards of quality, environmental, safety, or information security management.
Proper and authorized use of certification marks demonstrates credibility, fosters stakeholder confidence, and aligns with the values of transparency and integrity promoted by ISO/IEC 17021-1 and IAF accreditation frameworks. Misuse or misrepresentation of these marks can undermine public trust and result in regulatory consequences. Therefore, this document serves to educate certified clients on their rights, responsibilities, and the restrictions related to logo usage to ensure uniformity and accountability across all communication channels and business operations.
1. Purpose
This document aims to ensure TNV’s continued compliance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 and other relevant accreditation requirements established by IAF and IAS. It serves as a reference for certified clients to lawfully and appropriately represent their certification status by using the TNV and IAS logos in accordance with international standards. The purpose is to ensure logos are applied consistently and responsibly without misleading stakeholders or misrepresenting the certification scope.
2. Types of Logos/Marks
TNV Corporate Logo– Reserved for internal TNV communications and materials, unless prior written authorization is provided.TNV Certification Logo– Available to certified clients for use in accordance with their granted certification scope.
3. Authorized Use
Certified clients are permitted to display the TNV and IAS marks:
1. On stationery, reports, brochures, websites, and promotional material
2. Within corporate premises such as internal walls and signage
3. Alongside the relevant ISO standard name and certificate number
4. With a hyperlink to www.tnvgroup.org when used on digital platformsOnly within the certified scope and business locations approved by TNV
4. Technical Requirements
1. Use only official artwork provided directly by TNV
2. Maintain correct proportions and ensure legibility at all times
3. Use in grayscale or document-palette color only if full-color use is not feasible
4. Alternate print formats (e.g., watermark, relief) require written approval5. IAS Logo Guidelines
Where the IAS accreditation symbol is incorporated:
1. Logo must not exceed 30 mm in height on standard A4 print formats
2. Proportional resizing allowed for use on larger documents

Clients must not:
1. Mislead the public by implying product certification
2. Place marks on products or packaging without an approved statement
3. Use marks on testing, calibration, or inspection certificates
4. Use logos after suspension, withdrawal, or expiration of certification
5. Alter the logos’ design, orientation, or visual composition in any way
6. Obtain logos from unauthorized sources (e.g., online searches)
7. Combine TNV/IAS logos with other symbols that confuse or mislead
8. Mass-distribute logos via promotional merchandise without TNV approvalUse of the marks must always be truthful, verifiable, and within the scope granted.
7. Misuse of Logo
In cases of non-compliance:
1. Clients will be formally requested to cease the misuse immediately
2. Certification may be suspended or withdrawn
3. TNV may require removal or destruction of materials featuring the mark
4. Public disclosure or legal action may follow serious breaches8. Public Notice and Disclaimers
TNV reserves the right to publicly disclose instances of logo misuse or non-compliance. Clients may be held financially responsible for publication or enforcement costs. TNV bears no liability for reputational damage arising from such publication, and the client shall be responsible for all associated consequences.
9. TNV and IAS Logo Ownership
TNV and IAS logos are legally protected under national and international trademark laws. Their use does not imply any ownership transfer to the client. Certified clients are granted non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable rights to use these marks only during the valid certification period.
The logos must not be:
1. Modified, copied, or stylized in new forms
2. Resold or redistributed to third parties
3. Licensed, sublicensed, or used in partnership marketing without prior approval
4. Used in a way that could damage TNV or IAS reputation or suggest broader approval than what has been grantedAny misuse may result in immediate legal action and cancellation of the certificate.
10. Instructions and Clarification
Sample logos displayed in client training or instructional documents are for illustration purposes only. Clients must request original vector or high-resolution versions of the approved logos directly from TNV. For clarification on logo use, email info@tnvgroup.org.
TNV reserves the right to amend this policy as per changes in accreditation board guidelines, internal standards, or legal requirements. Clients must ensure they are referring to the most recent version available.
Use of TNV’s certification marks is both a privilege and responsibility. Clients are expected to adhere to these terms professionally and consistently, preserving the integrity of the certification system and stakeholder trust.
